As a Software Engineer 1, you will be responsible for:
- Designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting software according to our quality standards, policies, and procedures.
- Analyzing business needs and creating software solutions that meet user requirements.
- Preparing design documentation to support your development work.
- Crafting test data for unit, string, and parallel testing, ensuring software robustness.
- Evaluating and recommending software and hardware solutions to address user needs.
- Resolving customer issues with software solutions and actively seeking suggestions for improvements.
- Collaborating with business and development teams to clarify requirements and ensure testability.
- Drafting, revising, and maintaining test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts.
- Executing test procedures in line with software requirements, logging defects, and proposing solutions.
- Retesting software corrections to verify problem resolution.
- Documenting the evolution of testing procedures for future replication.
- Conducting performance and scalability testing, as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
In addition to the above, your responsibilities will include:
- Offering limited systems recommendations to address defined business needs.
- Creating comprehensive documentation for all programming work.
- Performing maintenance on existing software products.
- Assisting in coding, testing, and debugging new software or enhancing existing software.
- Writing programs according to specifications from higher-level staff.
- Providing input into simple estimation efforts on projects.
- Conducting a limited variety of quality-control tests and analysis to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements.
- Drafting and revising test plans and scripts.
- Executing test scripts according to application requirements documentation.
- Retesting software corrections to ensure problems are resolved.
- Documenting the evolution of testing cases/scripts for future replication.
Mandatory expertise:
- Experience with web application validation/testing.
- Exposure to bug reporting tools and Agile project tools such as Jira.
- Previous experience working in a professional environment and collaborating in Agile/Scrum teams.
Good to have skills:
- Proficiency with Python/Selenium/Powershell scripting for QA/validation.
- Knowledge of deploying automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines.
- Skillset: 1+ years in Web Application Testing, Manual Testing, Automation Testing, Selenium, Python.
